Program Overview
Courage to Call is a Prevention and Early Intervention (PEI) program in San Diego County providing services to Veterans, Active Duty, Guard, Reservist and their Families.

A 24/7 Helpline entirely staffed by veterans who have recently served in the military

Our veteran-staffed 24/7 helpline provides free, confidential information, guidance and referrals. Courage to Call can help identify next steps and develop short-term personal and professional plans. Optional deeper level of care coordination is available through our Veteran Peer Navigators.

Peer Outreach & Family Support Staff are veterans and military family members who:

  • Provide outreach services to Veterans, Active Duty, Reservists, National Guard, and their Families.
  • Train community providers & organizations to help them understand the military & military family culture, and their unique mental health issues and needs.
  • Liaison with the San Diego County Vet-Fam Forum, community leaders & organizations to build and maintain linkages to needed resources and services.
