New Fundraising Campaign In Progress!
It is our goal to raise $65,000 by the end of June 2010. About 4% or $325,000 of VVSD's income must come directly from donations.
All of the money raised will go to the VVSD General Fund that helps pay for the Veterans Winter Shelter, programs for women veterans and families, and Post 9/11 Veterans.
We got off to a good start by partnering with Catholic Charities of San Diego to hold the Women Together event on April 29. Our share of the proceeds was $7,500, which shows up on the progress graph on the right.
$10,000 was donated to VVSD on May 29, as part of the very successful "Nashville to San Diego" event, an old fashioned country BBQ onboard the USS Midway featuring country legend Ronnie Milsap, which was presented by the American Freedom Foundation, in conjunction with USS Midway Museum and KSON radio.

We accept gifts of property as well. We make use of used furniture, clothing and household articles for all the residents in our primary treatment facilities throughout San Diego County. Please contact us at (619) 393-2020 to schedule a pick-up.
