Rehabilitation and Recovery Phase

The Recovery and Rehabilitation Phase lasts a minimum of 90-days with an intensive focus on rehabilitation goals designed to meet the veteran’s individualized needs identified during the Assessment Phase.

During the Recovery and Rehabilitation Phase, veterans are expected to:

  • Attend all scheduled classes and groups as indicated by their individualized track
  • Attend 12-step meetings daily
  • Maintain weekly contact with 12 step sponsor
  • Attend weekly sessions with Case Manager
  • Attend weekly house meetings
  • Attend individual therapy sessions (if applicable)
  • Complete Job Club Orientation/Assessment with VRC Employment Case Manager

During the Recovery and Rehabilitation Phase, veterans are not permitted to:

  • Obtain employment
  • Attend school

Veterans who participate fully in their Recovery and Rehabilitation Phase, and have legal issues that need to be resolved, can be referred to Homeless Court

The Recovery Rehabilitation Phase includes education in:

  • Boundaries and Relationships
  • Anger Management
  • Life Skills and Self Assessment
  • Cognitive Enhancement Skills
  • Freedom Thinking
  • Creative Recovery
  • Recovery Principles
