The Veterans Villas Licensed Clinician is responsible for assuring the delivery of quality therapeutic services and referrals to the Veterans and their families residing at Veterans Villas Permanent Supportive Housing Program.
- Coordinates services with Veterans Villas case managers and works collaboratively to assist Veteran residents with resolving their individual and family concerns.
- Conducts initial engagement and assessment of all incoming Veterans and their families
- Provides initial screenings of Veteran residents and their families who request services to assess for risk factors, special needs and potential referrals.
- Coordinates referrals as appropriate for individual, group, couple and family therapy upon request.
- Provides psycho-educational group services including, but not limited to: life skills, parenting, mental health concerns, substance use, and trauma when appropriate.
- Maintains clients’ clinical records in a timely and professional manner, consistent with the standard of care in the field.
- Adheres to all legal and ethical guidelines of the clinician’s discipline, consistent with the laws of the State of California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must be an LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC, licensed by the State of California with 1-3 years post-licensure experience with individuals, couples, families and groups.
- Must have experience in working with substance use, trauma, and other mental health disorders.
- Must be able to work with a diverse population and be part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Must be familiar with local resources for mental health treatment, housing, and other concerns.
- Must be an LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC, licensed by the State of California with 1-3 years post-licensure experience with individuals, couples, families and groups.
- Must have experience in working with substance use, trauma, and other mental health disorders.
- Must be able to work with a diverse population and be part of a multidisciplinary team.

- Must have an understanding of the challenges and barriers to self-sufficiency faced by members of the homeless community.
- Must have an understanding of the Military Culture and experience with the Veteran population a plus.
- Must have the ability to be a team player, while maintaining professional integrity and standards.
- Must be able to read, write, and fluently communicate in English.
- Must be knowledgeable in the area of risk assessment, crisis intervention, and de-escalating conflict.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to bend and lift light objects.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time while viewing a computer monitor.
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard.
- Capable of hearing and speaking to exchange information
- Capable of seeing to read reports and other data.
- Must be able to work in a noisy, busy environment and be able to prioritize tasks as appropriate.
