Available Volunteer Roles and Shifts

Roles will be available to groups on a first to apply basis.
**Due to increased interest volunteer slots may fill up fast! We highly recommend selecting your Group's Top 5 Roles when filling out the "Desired Volunteer Roles" section.**

As Needed:
Will serve as "floaters" and in charge of checking in on every facet of the event. Checking in with attendees, service providers, vendors, staff, volunteers etc. Will serve as point person(s) for any coms. and fill vacant/ no-show positions.

Ambassadors:
Battle Buddies, volunteers will serve as liaisons between services available and attendees. Volunteers will have to be fully aware of all event amenities and capable of de-escalation.

Bag Check:
In charge of overseeing the bag check area, volunteers are to remain in their assigned positions and check items in and out as needed.

Clothing Tent:
Volunteers will be in charge of overseeing all clothing tent related tasks, including but not limited to: check in/out, stocking, inventory, admin, oversight, etc.

Entertainment:
Volunteers will be in charge of overseeing all entertainment and activity related tasks/ events for the day, including but not limited to: itinerary, service check in/out, engagement coordinators (in charge of overseeing client facing activities)

Environmental Services:
Clean-up / maintenance, facilities, etc.

Food Service:
Will help in meal coordination oversight. Completing tasks such as: check in on vendors/ providers, serving meals, floaters, meal clean-up/ set up, etc.

Kids Tent:
Assist in overseeing the kids tent and all kids / family friendly activities for the day/ their designated shift. Must be capable of de-escalation, mediation, resource navigation.

Medical Rover:
Medical liaison and/ or professional that can assist in tending to a majority of medical needs. Volunteers must be medically trained in first aid and able to refer clients to adequate medical services/ on-site resource (doctors, RN's, CNA's, medical assistants, medical interns/ students preferred.)

Parking Attendant:
Assist with any and all needs relating to parking, transportation services, vehicle storage, traffic control.

Pet Tent:

Security:
(Groups Preferred) In charge of grounds oversight and public safety. Urgent need for graveyard hours (overnight.)

Set Up / Tear Down:
Volunteers in charge of assisting with the entire set up and tear down.


Tent Leader:
Primarily a 3-Day Commitment, the Tent leader is in charge of overseeing 1 of our 26 Residential Tents and acts as a liaison between our Stand Down Command Team and Stand Down Participants. The Tent Leader is also a direct reference for our participants and will be in charge of assisting with Resource Navigation, Tent Roster updates, etc.

*Volunteers will be responsible for providing their own transportation and meals. Water and snacks will be provided. All volunteers during the event must be over the age of 18. However, youth groups with adult supervision and teens volunteering with their parents may assist in set-up and tear-down before and after the event.
